The Peak Didn’t Work Out

On our final full day in Hong Kong, I figured heading to The Peak would be a good way to get an great look at Hong Kong. The last time I was here, the view was beautiful and a worthwhile experience.

We trekked there in the AM in the rain and fog, I figured it would lift as the morning turned into afternoon. It did not… It actually got worse as the day progressed. You literally couldn’t see 20 feet in front of you because the fog was so heavy.

So we drank some Starbucks (eww), ate at Mak Noodles (Michelin recommended) and visited an illusion museum, which was expensive but passed some time and Caellum liked the funny photographs we took.

My theory of doing everything in Hong Kong in the AM held true, we walked onto The Peak  Tram without a wait. I don’t think the weather mattered, because the lineup when we returned to the base was quite long.

We head to Thailand tomorrow, and we’re looking forward to some sun and warmth. The weather in Hong Kong hasn’t been the greatest.

That said, this city is awesome and a crown jewel for the planet. The people are great, and there’s a wonderful calm to the chaos. I highly recommend a visit, and it’s quite family friendly.

The pics below are from the museum at The Peak, it was the only dry time to pull out the camera today.
