It seems to be a summer tradition, heading to a themed event at Eigensinn Farm, Michael Stadtlander’s eclectic culinary escape. This year it’s the Pine Spiel Project, which is a celebration of all things pine tree. Each dish will have at least one pine element, a few will have more. We’ll sit in the pines, eat the pines and look at furniture made out of pine. As always, he goes all in with whatever theme has been decided upon.
This event was a series of 12 “rooms” scattered around the 100 acres of Eigensinn. So you walked to a new area for each course, and each was uniquely decorated.
I won’t ramble on about the experience, but hopefully the images and descriptions will give you an idea about the event. The images of the food itself are first, then a few of the event itself.
Below are a few images taken during the day.
It was a great event! Thanks to Michael et al, as well as my companions Theresa, Sean and Sharlene.
By the sounds of it, I think I’ll have to bring Caellum soon.
