We haven’t done much during our first week together in Costa Rica, Theresa wanted to use the time to just chill out, which was fine by Caellum and I.
Now it’s time to get rolling on some activities, first up? Getting Caellum back on the surf board.
The tide was up so it was time to head out. After a quick refresher on how to get up on the board, Caellum was ready to head to the water.
Caellum’s instructor was very good, and quickly pointed out what Caellum was good at and what needed a bit of work. After a couple of spills, Caellum’s balance came right back and he was able to ride the waves pretty well.
He only fell one out of every 5 waves which was pretty good, I would have fallen a lot more often.
The instructor had Caellum paddling his own waves instead of pushing him before getting up. That’s what’s actually the hardest work when surfing in my opinion.
There is going to be a lot more surfing over the next 6-7 weeks, and hopefully we can get Theresa back on the board.
Myself? I’m having recurring hip stabbing pains, so we’ll see if that works itself out to let me get back out there as well.
We had some bumps with our condo and we’ll be moving to a new one next week. It’ll definitely end up being a better place. No biggie…. Pura Vida. 🙂
We wish everyone a Merry Christmas and below is a throwback video from 2011.
